We built UberBad for people going through real things. Your privacy — especially around sensitive personal struggles — is something we take seriously.
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and password (stored encrypted). You may optionally provide a phone number for Code Red contacts to reach you.
You may choose to share information about your personal struggles (e.g. addiction recovery, divorce, weight loss journey). This information is voluntary and used only to personalize your experience and connect you with relevant communities.
We collect information about how you use the app — screens visited, features used, goals completed — to improve the product. This data is aggregated and not tied to personally identifiable information in our analytics.
When you send a Code Red alert, we record the timestamp, which contacts were notified, and delivery status. We do not record your location.
We collect basic device information (device type, OS version, app version) for technical support and crash reporting purposes.
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell your data to third parties.
When you activate Code Red, we send an SMS message to your designated contacts using Twilio. The message contains your name and a request for them to call you. We do not share your location.
Your Code Red contacts' phone numbers are stored securely and used only to deliver alerts you initiate. We do not contact your Code Red contacts for any other purpose.
Code Red history (dates, times, delivery status) is stored in your account and visible only to you.
UberBad is built for people dealing with addiction, divorce, obesity, mental health, and other sensitive personal struggles. We treat this information with the utmost care.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.
